Headboard Choices:

Our Floating Platform Bed can come without a headboard. Without a headboard, it's low, long and lithe. Because it looks good without a headboard, we wanted any headboard to be functional, not merely decorative. So we designed two sleek but functional headboards. Each allows you to read in bed and watch the 11:00 PM news without twisting your neck 90 degrees.

1. Straight Inclined Panel Headboard The Inclined Panel Headboard provides comfort and grace. It angles back at 75 degrees to support your pillow and your neck. Hidden steel brackets attach it to the bed deck. This headboard is elegant and comfortable.

Most headboards are decorative, not functional. You could lean your pillows against the wall instead. Our Inclined Headboard is functional. It is angled back 15° from vertical. This allows you to watch TV or read comfortably in bed, with no crick in your neck.

2. Curved Inclined Panel Headboard 3. Bookcase Headboard Our "6-in-1" Bookcase Headboard is six pieces of furniture. It provides seven feet of bookshelf on the top, four feet of hidden storage in the middle, two end tables, plus two sliding angled backrests as shown on right. Whatever you want at hand . . . the Harvard Classics, the New Yorker, or a snifter of brandy, this design obliges.

Our Bookcase Headboard is extremely stable because it stands on the floor, against your wall. It's base is set in to allow for your baseboard. We can shape our base to allow for your baseboard heating ducts as well. It does not attach to the bed. It fits behind our Floating Platform Bed, as well as behind common boxspring sets.

For queen and double beds, it measures 84" wide and 14" deep. Our king-size bookcase headboard is 94" W, and twin-size is 48" W. Custom widths can be made too, to fit any alcove. We make its overall height 15" above your mattress height.

Our newest headboard design, the Hidalgo Headboard features a hand-embroidered fabric from the indigenous mountain tribes of Mexico. Each hand-embroidered piece takes two to three months to complete. Patterns are entirely unique; no two will ever be exactly alike. Because of the nature of these handmade embroideries, colors, patterns and availablility are limited and will vary. All embroideries feature imagery of various animals and plant life on a white background. Fabric is 100% natural cotton canvas with cotton embroidery thread and can be carefully spot cleaned.
